CPJ is joining over 100 organizations in calling on the federal government to prioritize building an east-west energy grid powered by renewable energy as a nation-building project. The coalition says such a project must uphold Indigenous rights and the rights of workers, and would reap benefits including new jobs, more affordable energy, as well as improved health and national security.
