Rena Namago, Refugee and Migrant Rights Policy Analyst with Citizens for Public Justice, recently joined the From the Ground Up podcast to discuss climate migration, migrant justice, and Canada’s responsibility in responding to displacement caused by climate change. The conversation was hosted by Mark Bigland-Pritchard, Migration & Resettlement Coordinator at Mennonite Central Committee Saskatchewan.
Drawing on her work and contributions to CPJ’s new book A Renewed Canadian Welcome, Rena explored how climate change exacerbates existing inequalities and why migrant-led advocacy movements are essential to building more just policies in Canada.
