Dear Ms. Mungall,

I am writing on behalf of Citizens for Public Justice (CPJ) to commend you on the introduction of the Bill 28 – 2019: Zero-Emission Vehicles Act in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia last week.

CPJ is a national organization of members inspired by faith to act for justice in Canadian public policy. As such, we have worked diligently to advocate for a just transition to clean energy in Canada. Canadians want their elected, civic, and business leaders to take the global climate crisis seriously. By working to commit B.C. to phase out gas-powered light-duty vehicles by 2040, you have demonstrated valuable leadership in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

We all know that renewable energy protects our health and will ensure a healthy future for our children.

Thank you for spearheading this important initiative. I applaud your vision and commitment to a healthy future for all.

Sincerely,

Willard Metzger
