Returning to the Nonviolence of Jesus: Following in the Footsteps of Active Nonviolence, Living Gospel Nonviolence Today with John Dear
What if Gandhi was right, that Jesus was the greatest person of nonviolence who ever lived? Wouldn’t that mean that to be his follower meant we had to practice total nonviolence, renounce war and every aspect of violence, and work to create a new culture of justice, disarmament and nonviolence? We will reflect on the life of Jesus from a Gandhian hermeneutic of nonviolence for clues about how to practice nonviolence today and do our part to create a more just and nonviolent world.
