Climate Vigil – Edmonton, AB

Join us in Amiskwaciwâskahikan /Edmonton on Sunday, September 22 for a family-friendly interfaith candlelight vigil hosted by Citizens for Public Justice Edmonton, the Catholic Archdiocese Office and Al Rashid Edmonton.

All people are invited to come together in prayer, song and ceremony, joining with people around the world in the biggest global week of climate action EVER!

Thousands of youth have called for their communities to join them in climate action from September 20-27, in particular, marching with them on Friday, September 27th.

We respond to that call by coming together on the Sunday before the main Sept. 27th event, to give our blessing to the youth and renew our commitment to those impacted most by the climate crisis.

*** All are welcome to attend regardless of their faith background

*** Please bring your own candles and mugs for tea!

SCHEDULE:

• 6:30 PM – Event will begin with music and a craft for children.
• 7:00-7:45 PM – We will move through moments of music, prayer and silence led by members and leaders from various faith traditions.
• 8:00 – 8:30 PM – We will share tea and hot chocolate in community and fellowship.
