FAQ: Seeking Justice 2022
Zoom links and links to recordings will be hosted using the Zoom Events platform. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation notice and email with a link to complete your registration on Zoom Events. From here, you will be able to access the "conference lobby," where you will be able to access all sessions and chat with other participants.
Please check your junk and spam folders if you have not received these details within 24 hours of registering. If you cannot find the email, please contact Natalie.
Out of respect for speakers' intellectual property rights, please do not share Zoom links or recordings with others. Recordings will be available through to the end of the summer.
We invite participants to share any specific accommodation requests in the registration form.
All keynote and workshop sessions will be using automatic closed captioning. Please note that automatic captioning often yields less accurate captions for speakers from countries outside of Turtle Island/North America, those for whom English is a second language, and those who speech may be affected by a disability. If you are concerned that automatic captioning will be insufficient for your needs, please let us know in your registration form.
Most keynotes and workshops will include a moderated time for Q&A. If the chat feature is not accessible to you, you will be invited to either use the raise hand feature in Zoom, or unmute yourself to request a chance to speak. Again, please feel free to share any accommodation requests or information that could help us make this conference accessible to you in the registration form.
Yes! Think of this conference as a buffet: one ticket gives you access to everything, but you can pick and choose which sessions and times suit you best. This includes coffee break discussion groups.
Your ticket gives you access to all keynote, workshop, and coffee break discussion group sessions, regardless of what you pay. Zoom links and recordings for all keynotes and workshops will be shared with all conference participants. Coffee break discussion groups will not be recorded.
Recordings will be kept available online throughout the summer for your continued viewing pleasure.
We are inviting participants to register for specific keynotes and workshops to help us monitor our Zoom capacity. However, Zoom links and recordings of all keynotes and workshops will be made available to all conference participants. We do ask, however, that you not share these recordings with anyone else to respect speakers' intellectual property rights.
It is not necessary to register beforehand for coffee break discussion groups, though again, doing so can help us anticipate numbers ahead of time.
For CPJ's Annual General Meeting, please note that the AGM is open to the public, but only existing CPJ members are able to vote. CPJ members can expect direct communication about the AGM via email before the conference with instructions on how voting will take place.
Recordings will be available to participants through to the end of the summer.
As a registered charity, Citizens for Public Justice is offsetting the costs of speakers’ fees, honoraria, and digital technology for this conference through ticket sales. However, we don’t want cost to prevent anyone from attending.
We ask that if you are attending on behalf of an organization or church that will be paying for your ticket, please select the $75 option. If you are attending out of personal interest and are paying out of pocket, please select the $30 option. If cost would be a barrier to your participation, please select the free low-income option.
We will also gladly accept donations to help cover the costs of the conference and low-income tickets. This option is included in the registration form below the ticket selections.
Keynotes and workshops will be offered in a webinar format, so participants will not be showing video and names will not be included in recordings
Coffee break discussion groups and grounding activities will not be recorded.
