Join CPJ at Draw the Line: Ottawa and Canada-wide!

There’s a movement building among progressive causes in Canada and across the world. This fall, Citizens for Public Justice is endorsing and taking part in Draw the Line–a worldwide day of action calling for justice for people, the planet, and for peace.

Where we’re gathering

Ottawa

CPJ staff, members, and friends will gather at Justice House (334 MacLaren Street) at 10:45 a.m. We will move to the main protest site together at the Office of the Prime Minister at 80 Wellington Street. CPJ’s very own Climate Justice Policy Analyst, Maryo Wahba, will be a featured speaker at the Ottawa action—and we want to bring out a crowd to support him!

Montreal

A group with CPJ supporters and folks from GreenFaith and St. Martha’s Chapel will be meeting at St. John’s Lutheran Church (3594 rue Jeanne Mance) at 12 p.m. For more information and to let us know you’re attending, email us at ac.jpcobfsctd-5c5292@jpc.

Across Canada

There is at least one Draw the Line action being held in every province in Canada, with numerous actions in BC, Alberta, and Ontario. What we’re calling for

CPJ has endorsed Draw the Line’s demands:

💰Put people over corporate profit. Fund our families and communities.

🌾 Refuse ongoing colonialism. Uphold Indigenous Sovereignty.

🛑 Stop blaming migrants. Demand full immigration status for all now! 

🕊 End the war machine. Stand for justice and peace.

🌍 End the era of fossil fuels. Protect Mother Earth.
