About the event
At “Faith and Justice in Public: Engaging in the Federal Election,” policy and theology experts engaged attendees on key justice questions that faced them ahead of the 2025 federal election: climate justice, poverty elimination in Canada, and refugee and migrant rights.
Together, attendees and speakers reflected on:
- How might our faith shape the way we engage in public life?
- What could the vision of all people and all creation flourishing together look like in our communities and in Canada, and how can we bring that vision to life?
- How will the federal election and federal policy impact my local community?
The event explored prevalent narratives and relevant evidence around key election issues and political engagement in general, considering how people of faith could work together for justice and mutual flourishing.
Event participants came together to identify the local issues that mattered to them, and to learn, share, ask questions and discern their role in building a better tomorrow and a just Canada.
