All Candidates Forum – Kelowna, BC
Amnesty International: Kelowna has invited the 11 federal candidates in the ridings of Kelowna—Lake Country and Central Okanagan—Similkameen-Nicola to an All Candidates Immigration Forum, to present their party’s policies regarding: Canadian Immigration, Refugees and Migrant workers.
To date, federal candidates who have confirmed their attendance are:
- Allan Duncan (People’s Party of Canada, Central Okanagan—Similkameen—Nicola)
- Joan Phillip (New Democratic Party, Central Okanagan—Similkameen—Nicola)
- Justin Kulik (New Democratic Party, Kelowna—Lake Country)
- Mary-Ann Murphy (Liberal, Central Okanagan—Similkameen—Nicola)
- Robert Mellalieu (Green Party, Central Okanagan—Similkameen—Nicola)
- Salomon Rayek (People’s Party of Canada, Kelowna—Lake Country)
- Stephen Fuhr (Liberal, Kelowna – Lake Country)
- Travis Ashley (Green Party, Kelowna—Lake Country)
The Forum Moderator will be Phil Johnson (host, AM 1150).
Agenda (All times approximate)
- 2:00 pm to 2:05 pm: Welcome and Opening Remarks
- 2:10 pm to 3:00 pm: Each candidate has five minutes to present their party’s policies on Immigration, Refugees, and Migrant Workers
- 3:00 pm to 3:55 pm: Questions for candidates from the Audience. (Questions will be limited to the three topics for today’s forum).
- 3:55 pm to 4:00 pm: Closing Remarks
