Child poverty in Canada is our failure

One of the most obvious issues that people in Canada can agree on is that children are precious and should have the support and care needed to thrive. So, it baffles the mind that 29 years after all federal parties unanimously supported a resolution to end child poverty in Canada by the year 2000, Canada’s child poverty rate is 19.6 per cent. 

Chew on This! 2018 is around the corner!

Each year on October 17th, the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, people across the country engage their communities about poverty in Canada and the need for the federal government to create a comprehensive, human rights-based, and fully-funded anti-poverty plan.
