Jim McIntyre spent 25 years in the corporate business world, primarily in the printing and technology industries, before joining CPJ. He has been a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in downtown Ottawa for over 30 years, participating in youth ministry, marriage preparation, and parish fundraising. He is a very active member of the music ministry, using his musical talents for many fundraising and benefit performances over the years. Jim has a BFA, photography, from the University of Ottawa where he was also active in student journalism.
He has sat on the board of the Ottawa Safety Council, and helped the Friends of Wabano Gala Committee (a centre for Aboriginal people). He also spend many years volunteering with the Orleans Minor Hockey Association.
Jim started volunteering for CPJ in 2010, joining the staff full time in 2013. He is responsible for CPJ's overall fundraising activities. He lives in Ottawa with his wife Bonnie, who is a school teacher, and their three children.
